In this site we use some terms and acromyms that maybe unfamiliar. Here are our definitions:
linear format - This forum structure consists of one branch for each forum or category. This is considered the simplest and easiest format for users.
treed format - This forum structure can consist of more than one branch for forums and categories. Not as easy to use as a linear format. This format can become maze-like if not managed well.
zero ads - A site is considered to have zero advertisements if the sites format of home pages, content pages and associated up-stream portal pages have no direct links to commericial concerns. The exception are add pages that are accessed by a clearly labeled link to advertising.
